Versão em português1. Who we are
The Mais Português courses, available at maisportugues.net, are provided by Fire Horse - Wealth Management, Lda, tax number (NIF) 514994584, with registered office at Av. da República, n.º 45, 7.º Dto., 1050-187 Lisboa. Contact: geral@firehorse.pt.
By creating an account or buying a course, you accept these terms. Please also read our Privacy policy.
2. The service
We offer online courses in European Portuguese, organised by level (A1 and A2), with lessons, exercises, games and missions. To use the service you need an internet connection and an up-to-date browser. We may improve and update the course content over time, always keeping the level and the essentials of what you bought.
3. Your account
- The information you give when you create an account must be true.
- Your account is personal: do not share it or give your password to anyone. If you suspect misuse, change your password and let us know.
- An account for a child under 13 must be created and managed by their parents or by a person with parental responsibility. Purchases are made by an adult.
4. Prices and payment
- A1 Course: €300 + VAT, one-time payment.
- A1 + A2: €500 + VAT, one-time payment (instead of €600 bought separately).
- A2 Course: €300 + VAT, one-time payment.
VAT at the applicable rate is added to the prices and shown before you pay. You pay once, through Stripe; there are no monthly fees and no automatic renewals. You receive the invoice at the email address used for the payment.
5. Access to the courses
Once the payment is confirmed, the course is linked to your account, with no end date, for as long as the service is available. If we ever stop providing the service, we will give you reasonable advance notice.
6. Right of withdrawal
As a consumer, you have 14 days from the purchase to withdraw, without giving any reason, and we will refund the full amount paid.
The courses are digital content made available immediately. So, if at the time of purchase you expressly ask to start straight away and acknowledge that, by starting the first lesson, you lose your right of withdrawal, that right no longer applies from the moment you start the course.
To withdraw, write to geral@firehorse.pt from the email address of your account. The refund is made using the same payment method, within 14 days, and your access to the course ends.
7. Acceptable use
- Do not copy, distribute or resell the course content.
- Do not try to get around the service’s protections or to access other people’s accounts.
- Do not use the leaderboard or your name for offensive content. We may suspend accounts that do not follow these rules.
8. Intellectual property
The texts, exercises, games, illustrations (including Gil) and the brand belong to Fire Horse - Wealth Management, Lda or to their respective authors. Your purchase gives you the right to use the courses to learn, for personal use; it does not transfer any rights over the content.
9. Availability and liability
We do our best to keep the service available at all times, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or because of failures by third parties. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, including where the digital content does not conform to the contract.
10. Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app’s Settings. If you delete your account, you lose access to the courses you bought and all your progress; this does not entitle you to a refund outside the withdrawal period.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will tell you by email or in the app before the changes take effect. The changes do not affect courses you have already bought.
12. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you have a complaint, please talk to us first: geral@firehorse.pt.
You can also use the electronic Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico) and, in the event of a consumer dispute, turn to an alternative dispute resolution entity: the Lisbon Consumer Arbitration Centre, Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo de Lisboa (centroarbitragemlisboa.pt) or the National Consumer Information and Arbitration Centre, Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (CNIACC) (cniacc.pt).
